Gratitude: A Key To Business Health
If you want to be happy and healthy, gratitude is a good place to start. Simply giving thanks each day has been shown to have enormous benefits in personal and business health. “Gratitude recruits other positive emotions, such as joy, contentment and hope, and these produce direct physical benefits through the immune or endocrine systems,” writes author Robert A. Emmons, PhD. It’s a powerful process for bringing more of what you want into your life.

Value to the Community
Lisa Bartholomew is thankful for the freedom brought to her lifestyle by becoming a HealthyYOU Vending operator. She’s now able to spend more time with her family, and she’s thankful she is bringing something of value to the community. Her customers are grateful, too. “It’s tough when you’re strapped down to a desk all day,” Lisa says. “It’s nice to be able to offer something in offices where people are really struggling to eat healthy.” Her most successful location has been a beauty school where the students often spend long hours on campus. “The girls love it,” she says. “They’re super excited when I show up.”
A Sense of Belonging
Darren Kearns from Dallas, TX appreciates the safety net and family vibe created by the HealthyYOU Vending staff. “I feel like I know everybody,” he says. He’s also grateful for the freedom of choice provided by the business model, which allows operators to place machines wherever they want and fill them with their choice of products. He also enjoys the benefit of bringing healthy snack choices to the community. “Its win-win.”
Giving Back With HealthyYOU Vending
Pete and Terrie Matz are grateful for the ability to make a difference that their HealthyYOU Vending business allows. “A portion of our profits go to a local organization called Dream Come True, which is close to our hearts,” says Terrie. A sticker on the machine lets customers know that every time the vend a product, a portion of their sale goes to the organization, which grants wishes to terminally ill children. This allows the local community to make a healthy difference – not just in their own life but also in the life of a child.
